TM198 is melted down from a solid resin (in the supply unit) and \napplied using a heated hose and gun. It provides a organic, pliable \nthermoplastic barrier coating, which will protect all types of metal \ncomponents against galvanic pitting and atmospheric corrosion as well as\n protecting from water and dust ingress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key feature of the TM198 encapsulation system is the non-adherence \nto the substrate, along with the self lubricating properties, which \nallows any components that need to move to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The material can easily be cut and removed for access and \nmaintenance, the area of removed material can then be refilled as the \nnewly applied material will bond to the existing TM198. Alternatively \nthe protected substrate can be inspected via UT directly through the \nmaterial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is no downtime during application and protection is provided \nimmediately, bringing savings to both CapEx and OpEx. TM198 is proven \nto extend the lifecyle of components and reduce maintenance costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
